DA40NG, Year 2017, OH-DTA, s/n 40.N331 (NXi), One Owner&Operator, Delivery Fresh After Major Works
One or the few genuine DA40NG’s on the second-hand market.
A perfect IFR touring single with G1000 NXi including WAAS (LPV, P-RNAV etc. PBN capabilities), Garmin’s own GFC700 autopilot, and Jeppesen ChartView.
This DA40NG was ordered from the factory by its first and only operator, FI.ATO.2003, with limited but purposeful equipment for a professional flight school running MPL and integrated ATPL programmes. No expense was spared in running the operations: maintenance and airworthiness management included. Sadly, after the sale of the school it quickly ended up bankrupt, but less sadly, we managed to salvage this specimen that is now looking for a new home. Aeropole has just become the interim owner with a firm intention to resell it (and to provide a clean-cut, straightforward sale), not to fly it — we have also bought its sister aircraft, which is sufficient for our operational needs. Therefore, this one is also priced to sell sooner rather than later.
Ideal on one hand for a flight school, but on the other hand this DA40NG would also be a perfect choice for the private owner, since the remaining almost 1,200 hours on the engine can be spread over the 10 coming years; also there are 4 years left of the 6-year propeller overhaul interval. And if you’d like more optional equipment, our Diamond Service Center can get those added for you against a separate price—don’t pay for what you don’t need or appreciate!
Availability: July 2026; available for inspection at Tampere-Pirkkala, EFTP. Photos will be taken and posted once the aircraft is back together in one piece, nice and shiny—unless sold by then—but you are welcome to come and inspect the ins and outs of this technically fine specimen even in the middle of the works.
Colour: white, with a blue vertical stabiliser and red wingtips and red horisontal stabliser tips.
All MSB’s complied with under said operator’s Part-CAMO organisation since birth; no gaps in technical documentation. Maintenance was assured by Patria Aviation’s Part-145 in Finland from birth till 2024, since then by our Diamond Service Center, to the highest standards. Our Diamond Service Center has now taken over airworthiness management and ensures the aircraft will be delivered in top technical condition fresh out of major works, including airframe 1000-hour inspection and engine 300-hour inspection, during which also new pistons, a new dual-mass flywheel, and a new turbocharger have been/are being installed, among others.
